Creative Pause Evenings

A gentle space to arrive —
without needing to know what comes next.

What a Creative Pause Is (and Is Not)

A Creative Pause Evening is a lightly structured, non-directive creative experience designed to support rest, presence, and inner spaciousness.

This is:

  • A quiet, held space to slow down and reconnect with yourself

  • An invitation to engage with simple creative materials, gently supported by the structure of the evening.

  • A practice of listening inward, without interpretation or analysis

  • A moment to pause within the rhythm of your life, without needing to fix or improve anything

This is not:

  • A class or workshop focused on technique, instruction, or performance

  • A therapeutic or diagnostic space

  • A place where your work is interpreted or discussed

  • A process aimed at insight, outcome, or personal transformation

Nothing needs to be shared unless you choose to.
Nothing needs to make sense.

You are welcome exactly as you are.

— This Month's Lens
Creative Process
Doorway

January’s pause invites you to stand at the threshold of the creative process —
before direction, before outcome, before knowing.

This is a place of beginning without pressure,
where nothing needs to be clear yet
and the process is allowed to unfold in its own time.

Each monthly Creative Pause Evening is self-contained and explored through a different lens.

You’re welcome to join in any month — there’s no sequence and no requirement to attend regularly.

How This Supports You (Without Trying to Change You)

Creative Pause Evenings offer a different way of being with creativity — one that does not ask for interpretation, improvement, or insight.

For some, the experience feels similar to a group meditation or sound bath — with the difference that the hands are gently engaged.
This can be especially supportive if sitting still feels challenging.

Participants often describe leaving with a sense of:

  • Slowness and spaciousness

  • Reduced internal pressure

  • A quieter relationship with doing

  • Permission to stay with what is present, without needing to resolve it

Nothing is directed toward a particular outcome.
Nothing is analyzed.

The support comes from the simplicity of the container itself.

Who This Is For

Creative Pause Evenings may be supportive if you are:

  • Feeling mentally or emotionally full

  • Wanting a pause without needing to talk or explain

  • Drawn to creativity as a way to settle, not perform

  • Curious about process without needing answers

  • Looking for a space that asks very little of you

No artistic experience is needed.
There is no right way to participate.

This space is not about skill — it is about presence.

The Shape of The evening

Each Creative Pause Evening follows the same gentle rhythm:

Arrival & Orientation
Time to settle and arrive without rushing or explanation.

Grounding & Breath
A short guided pause to support presence.

Creative Time
An open creative exploration using simple materials.

Gentle Closing
A soft transition back, without urgency or interpretation.

You’re free to engage at your own pace — creating, pausing, and allowing the process to unfold quietly.

Your Host

Creative Pause Evenings are held by Marie Donze, intuitive artist and facilitator of Integrative Soul Painting.

In these Creative Pause Evenings, Marie’s role is to hold a calm, supportive space where participants can slow down, settle, and engage with the creative process without pressure or interpretation. These evenings are intentionally different from her guided workshops, offering a quieter, more open-ended way to be with creativity.
